Pop-Up Shop
Here is the lovely 'Frontroom' in Cambridge that has currently set up a pop-up shop, selling some super handmade creative items that would make the best presents. I'm happy to be involved as I'm selling a few Christmas cards and prints. Check them out http://www.frontroomcambridge.com/ for some last minute gift shopping.
This is not my house.
This drawing is based on a house that a friend of mine took a picture of. I wished porches were not primarily an American thing but in England too, although the weather is not permitting to be spent sitting outside.
I love a good cuppa
Here is a cup design for a project that never came to light.
However sometimes it doesn't matter because its a great way to motivate yourself to fulfill briefs that you'd never attempt to do otherwise. The idea was that this design would cover the side of a cup all the way along. I tried to represent the way in which tea has become a part our English culture and day to day life through the history of time and how it can be enjoyed by anyone who loves a good brew and not just by gentry folk.

The Logs
For two of the wall spaces during my exhibition I decided to revive a couple of old wooden logs that were ready for the fire. I saved them and changed their destiny into decorative pieces that can be hung on the wall! They are for sale too but only on collection as sending them in the post would be far too expensive. They were fun to do, I've got a couple more naked logs that are calling out to be painted....my email address is devorah_hall@hotmail.co.uk...get in touch!

Stumbled upon this
I totally forgot about these purses/bags I made for a group of little girls when I was living in Milan, Italy, in 2006, at the age of 18. I had just received my first sewing machine, the one I still use today, as a gift from some lovely ladies, as a Christmas present.
I stumbled upon these photos through my old 'Photobucket' account that I also forgot I had set up. Thought it might be rather nice to post them on here to keep a record of them.

My first exhibition is up!
It has been a very busy month for me in the run up to my first exhibition at the Arts Picturehouse cinema in town, the theme I set myself was treehouses.
I loved the process and the deadline definitely helped my motivation. Though each piece took much longer than I thought, so I really must learn to start earlier. The whole experience was a learning curve, I'm really glad I did it.
Here are five of the pieces that are hanging up until the 15th November. If you Cambridge based do pop in and take a look, the exhibition is up in the bar, pictures soon to follow.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who supported me in this and who was able to attend the opening night!

Hey everyone who loves a bit of soft furnishings!
Through a recent competition my two cushion designs are available to be purchased through OhhDeer.com for a limited time only, of three weeks, making the last day to purchase the 28th October. If they are popular enough there is a chance of them being permanently sold in stockists such as the Tate and Saatchi Gallery!!!
It would be incredible if you could make a purchase of one or both or as many as you wish, of the two designs I have entered. Pleeease!

Self initiated
These images are part of a bigger illustration I recently completed. A kind of collage of images I put together for a gift for my younger sister, after all the 16th birthday is a special one and she means a lot to me. I wanted to produce a few images that either represented what she meant to me or represented our friendship, or her hobbies and interest. Looking back at the final piece I should have linked each image to the next and been a little more playful and inventive with it in that respect, it is something I will keep in mind next time. These are my favourite examples.
